Pre-Algebra 7-8 | Algebra 7-8 | Combination Class

The Sum It Up math program allows children entering grades K-8 to review concepts covered during the school year and to preview new material for the coming fall. Whether your child needs to review and maintain skills or is skipping a level in math, our math program has a class for your child!
Each week will focus on a particular content area such as fractions, geometry, and computation. In small, non-competitive group settings, students will use manipulatives, problem solving strategies, games, and group discussion to generate understanding about math. For each class session, students will receive a work packet which contains work completed in class, as well as, a resource page with vocabulary and explanations that students can use as a reference. In addition, “at home” practice will be given along with parent answer sheets so that parents can reinforce concepts at home.
All math classes are 1 hour and 15 minutes long except for Math Grade 1 and Hands on Equations® which are 1 hour.
Each 1 hour and 15 minute class consists of:
I. Direct Instruction: 30 minutes
II. Guided Practice: 30 minutes
III. Hands on Activity: 15 minutes
