Writing to Inform Students will take notes in order to write about a topic. |
Week 3 |
Writing to Inform Students will use notes in order to write a cohesive, informative essay. |
Week 4 |
Writing to Persuade Students will read articles about an issue and identify pros and cons about an issue. |
Week 5 |
Writing to Persuade Students will use transition words, descriptive language, and strong verbs to make an argument about an issue. |
Week 6 |
Writing to Persuade Students will write a well-organized, convincing persuasive essay. |
Week 7 |
Writing for Personal Expression Students will complete a story map to identify story elements for a personal narrative. |
Week 8 |
Writing for Personal Expresion Students will write a personal narrative with a clear beginning, middle and end. |
